Review Policy

I do not pay or otherwise offer incentives for book reviews. Each review on this site is the honest opinion of a reader.

I take every precaution to ensure the reviews are written by real humans. However, as I am a real human myself, I might miss some AI bots now and then. As soon as they are discovered, they will come down.

Occasionally, I may offer free Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) prior to publication, or immediately following, in the hopes of generating reviews. However, receiving an ARC does not obligate the recipient to leave a review. If they choose to do so, it is done voluntarily. Note that the distribution of ARCs is standard practice in the publishing industry. Every major traditional publisher does it, as do a large proportion of indie authors.

Additionally, I occasionally participate in Goodreads giveaways, where up to 100 free downloads are raffled off. While the hope is that this process will generate reviews, winners are not obligated to write one.

If you order from my site, I will send you a reminder to review approximately 10 days later. You have the ability to opt out of this reminder at the time of ordering.

Although I might cry over bad reviews, I do not remove them from the site, provided they are written by real humans (as noted above). The primary reason for reviews is to inform future readers, not to feed my ego. The only time I will remove a review is if it is a personal attack on me or on other authors/creators, or if it crosses the line into harassment (at my sole discretion).
